Tempelhof Projekt GmbH

Cooperation Partnership

We are thrilled to announce that in February we (finally!) signed a Letter of Intent together with the Senate Department for Urban Development, Building and Housing and Tempelhof Projekt GmbH for a cooperative transformation of the ” rainwater retention basin” into a hybrid infrastructure for sustainable rainwater management. After a year-long joint writing process, this letter of intent recognises the work of Floating e.V. in the rainwater retention basin and strengthens our position in the long-term transformation. The LOI recognises the different dimensions of the basin and aims to emphasise the simultaneity of these functions: The rainwater retention basin at Tempelhofer Feld is equally a natural culture research campus, technical infrastructure of a rainwater management system, a unique ecosystem and an important water infrastructure of the district. This hybridity is to be preserved and translated into the future.

After the signing, we went straight into the continuation of this collaborative process. A stakeholder workshop with Tempelhof Projekt GmbH, SenSBW and the district of Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg, moderated by Urban Catalyst, sets the framework for the following collaborative process.

We look forward to a partnership-based development.
