Camo Hut Club

As part of the Learnscapes program, architect Alina Biriukova and media artist Olya Korsun submitted the proposal “Camo Hut Club” in the Open Call for the “Free Radicals”. They wanted to build a high seat on Floating site and design it together with young participants. Alina built the high seat in summer 2021 and in September Alina and Olya invited participants of the Floating Kidsuni to design the walls of the hut together with them. We built ladders and gathered materials at Floating University to weave the walls of the hut. We also made our own camouflage costumes to keep us invisible while observing on our CAMO high seat. This collaboration discussed also the question how high seats are mainly used in Germany, namely for hunting. Alina and Olya asked the participants what the high seat in the Floating University should be used for. The list with the suggestions you can find in the cozy Camo Hut. This new place was already used in many ways after the workshop.
